Rede Ballard

Born and raised in rural Wyoming and educated in Montana, Rede Ballard￯﾿ᄑs work is a mixture of abstract principles with a realist￯﾿ᄑs sensibilities.

Although a majority of Rede￯﾿ᄑs work is figurative and contemplative the abstract qualities inherent in the relationship between the land and sky have always been for him a beautiful mystery. The landscapes ability to exhibit almost human like qualities of temperament have always drawn Rede to its limitless lessons. For him the works become a study in form and design rather than literal rerecording of subject. ￯﾿ᄑThe attempt to capture a small part of the grandeur is all I can hope for￯﾿ᄑ.
