You are cordially invited to: A SOLO SHOW at HORIZON FINE ART - 'TIME & TERRAIN' - featuring Benjamin Walter. Saturday, June 28, 2025, 5 - 8pm. Artist talk and demonstration at 6 PM. Time and Terrain is a selection of a year of plein air work. Drinks and light refreshments. For the first time, Benjamin Walter will release thirty entirely plein air paintings for a single show exploring immediate impressions of different times and terrains. These works were done outdoors over different types of landscapes and times of year. These works are small, ranging from 6"x8" to 12"x16."  This size allows Benjamin to focus on capturing a fleeting impression--a specific light, time of day, or visual effect.

We are excited to introduce you to the magnificent paintings of Peter Campbell! Peter Campbell (b. 1963) seeks to convey an intimate and personal reaction to nature. He has created landscapes painted in oil of hushed, quiet times of day: dawn, twilight and moonlight. Campbell has learned to tap the spirit world that lingers in all of us. He shapes moods quietly without resorting to sentiment or unnecessary romance. His creativity is stirred by the deep rays of sunsets, cool gray days, late evenings, plowed fields – nature at her most serene. He paints themes with limited color scale, depending upon tonal hues to create delicate and subtle relationships expressed by the changeable moods of light and atmosphere: Campbell seeks to express a personal, suggestive and dreamlike world without presenting the detailed aspects of nature. Fleeting glimpses are the spark behind many of Campbell's landscape paintings. Out of the corner of his eye he will see something that catches his fancy and inspires him to paint. The challenge comes, he says, in trying to transfer that instant response to canvas. "You almost have to fight to hold on to that original idea," he says. "It takes a lot of work to develop

We are proud to introduce the magnificent oil paintings of Gleb Goloubetski. We invite you to come into the gallery to see his thought-provoking art in person! Born in Omsk in the former Soviet Union in 1975, Gleb Goloubetski displayed noticeable artistic talent and a keen interest in the arts from an early age. His initial tutorage and inspiration came from his late father, who achieved success as a painter in his own right and actively encouraged Gleb to paint. Gleb’s formal training came from his studies at the highly acclaimed academy in St Petersburg where his work attracted much attention. He maintains a close relationship with both the academy and his former professor. Gleb’s inspiration comes primarily from the aged architecture and geography of Europe; he has special associations with the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean, the USA and the Far East. He travels extensively looking for images to paint. When he finds a view that inspires him, Gleb will sit and absorb it for some time, paying particular attention to how the natural light conditions of the day influence his perspective and moreover his emotional response.
