I create paintings of figures and faces. This can be either people or wildlife. The emotional impact of a portrait is just as essential as the image. It’s very important for me to convey the intensity of what the person or animal is feeling in a single moment in time.
For me, life and art are the same. I can’t separate the two. When I’m painting or drawing someone I feel like I touch their soul. It’s a very humbling experience when I get the image exactly right because it’s as if the essence of that person actually enters the room.”
