Artist Bio:

Painter, Dorota PiotrowiakDorota Piotrowiak is a professional artist who works in painting, sculpture, and graphics. Known for her stunning portraits of women, as well as her life size paper sculptures of plants and animals, Dorota is an award-winning artist with works in major private collections and museums around the world. Her paintings of birds, insects and animals travel all over the country and abroad.

Dorota Piotrowiak, born in 1969 in Poland, is a pioneer in many creative techniques, including graphic design, computer design, AI modifications, art prints, oil and acryl on canvas. Using several techniques in each creation, including sculpting, clay sculptures, papier-mâché models/forms, all her works are “mixed technique” art objects.

Since 2013, she has been creating models and dioramas of nature, as well as maquettes and thematic displays for national parks & landscape parks. Her artworks are kept on permanent exhibitions in the Poland National Maritime Museum, the Zamoyski Museum, the Museum of Jacek Malczewski, Vistula Trade Museum in Grudziądz, Museum of King Jan III’s Palace in Wilanów, Poland.  She is an alumnae of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun in 1996.  Dorota conducts authorial workshops for children and young people using the papier-mâché technique. She is the initiator and organizer of “Sztuka Papieru” (the Art of Paper) Festival in cooperation with the Technical School in Świecie on Vistula.
