.

Raised in Pittsburgh PA Tracie started her artistic expression in dance and performed with The Pittsburgh Youth Ballet through high school.  She went on to study psychology at Purdue University where her curiosity for human nature and her love of art began to develop in a deeper way.

Tracie’s early career practicing psychotherapy left her yearning for her artistic expression.  She got her first camera and began experimenting in the dark room.  Tracie became fascinated with how capturing subjects in different environments, with various light and shadows created a story and evoked emotion, which the viewer could connect with.

In her first year as a professional photographer, Tracie won 3 Fuji Film awards.  Her success accelerated quickly and Tracie moved from portrait photography to editorial and finally into advertising, where she shot major international campaigns.  All the while, Tracie knew that one day she would put all of this aside and focus solely on shooting fine art.

With a renewed focus Tracie’s inspiration has evolved into creating art that can touch others in a spiritual and emotional way.  “It’s all about rebirth and seeing life’s simple treasures that are all around us.”  She only shoots what evokes and moves her soul.  Her art reflects these emotions, energy, and introspection of life in its most organic state.  With her life experiences and traumas, Tracie is more deeply inspired by nature, light, shadows, lines and the emotions and perceptions we have of them than ever before.
